About us

In Harald's childhood home at Nesgata 4, we have created four lovely small guest rooms that we will be renting out.

The building was constructed in 1946 by Grandpa Eilert, after the first house he built was bombed during World War II. Hilde and Harald warmly welcome guests from all over the world to enjoy a pleasant stay at Bakkebo.

Grandpa Eilert gave up his right to inherit the family farm at Sogge because he preferred to become a cabinetmaker. In 1946, he built the house where we are now renting out rooms.

Hilde has worked for many years as a host at Åndalsnes Hostel and was head of tourism for Rauma and Romsdalen for nearly 12 years.

Harald works as a chief accountant and handyman, helping out wherever he can.

Together, we have a big family and they all enjoy these beautiful rooms, now opening them up for guests to enjoy.
